Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept with Transparent Roof
NEW YORK - In the automotive carpet New York Auto Show this year , Land Rover introduced its newest concept car , Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept . This car has some sophisticated equipment .
Reported Worldcarfans , Wednesday ( 04/16/2014 ) , Discovery Vision Concept comes with a much different view of the current Discovery . More sporty models , and supported by an advanced feature that is transparent roof .
With a transparent hood (transparent hood ) , the driver can see the road in front of the closed hood of the vehicle. So it looks like driving a car that does not have a front snout .
The transparent hood technology uses multiple cameras in the front grille , and a picture of the bottom of the machine is displayed to the driver a visual display .
In addition to the transparent hood , this car comes up with a myriad of other technologies such as Laser Scanning Terrain , which creates a map of the road ahead with a laser - mounted fog lamp and laser refericing , and the latest generation Terrain Response system .
Land Rover will introduce the all-new Discovery Freelander end of the year as a replacement for five passengers . And will use the platform Range Rover Evoque .

Goodyear Test Tire with Featured Air Maintenance Technology
A tire with Ban Air Maintenance Technology (AMT) feature are discovered and developed by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear) will begin to be tested. Tests will be performed on a fleet of trucks USA as part of a research project the United States Department of Energys (DOE) Office of Vehicle Technology.
Since 2011 and the AMT Goodyear develops a tire tech that can reduce the need to manually fill in wind conditions and time. This technology is claimed to help save fuel and reduce levels of carbon dioxide that could potentially extend tire life, durability and increase the security framework.
During the subsequent test phase, several fleets in the US and Canada will apply the AMT tires for 18 months in normal daily usage.
"This is an important moment in the development of AMT for the commercial truck market," said Joseph Zekoski, Chief Technical Officer of Goodyear.
"Tires that have had the AMT perform well in testing, and we are pleased that many of our fleet customers indicate a willingness to collaborate with us in the next phase of testing."
AMT allows the tire fixed in a certain position of the initial air pressure without using external pumps. This technology uses a peristaltic pump technology that will automatically keep the tire fixed at the desired air pressure. All components of the AMT with pumps are inside the tire itself.
AMT system for commercial tires are created to be used in a variety of operating conditions and can still be re retread (retread).
"This pilot phase will continue until we are confident that this technology can be applied in real market commercial tires," said Zekoski.
Ministry of Energys Office of Vehicle Technology (The DOEs Office of Vehicle Technology) United States budgeted $ 2.5 million USD grant to help research, to the development and realization of the AMT system to commercial vehicle tires.
Representatives of ministries has been met with a team of Goodyear in September to conduct an evaluation of the implementation of this project
